Broiled
Eel and Avocado Sandwich on Whole Wheat Bread
<Ingredients>
・4 slices of whole wheat bread
・1/2 (2.8 oz) broiled eel, cut into bite-sized pieces
・1 avocado, diced
・1.5 oz cream cheese
・1 teaspoon lemon juice
・1 (3.5 oz) carrot cut julienne-style, then rinsed with
1 pinch of salt, and drained well
・2 tablespoons mayonnaise
・1/4 sliced onion, rinsed and drained
・1 teaspoon wasabi
<Instructions>
1) Mix carrot, lemon juice and mayonnaise.
2) Mix avocado, lemon juice and cream cheese.
3) Combine wasabi and mayonnaise.
4) Spread “instruction # 3” on bread, and put eel and
“instructions 1 and 2” between slices of bread.

Sesame
Fried Sardines
<Ingredients>
・1 can of sardines in oil
・2 tablespoons flour mixed with 2 tablespoons water
・4 tablespoons white sesame seed
・4 tablespoons black sesame seed
・Salt
・Lemon
・Oil
<Instructions>
1) Pat sardines with paper towels and lightly coat the
sardines with flour batter, then completely coat with
sesame seeds.
2) Deep-fry sardines and sprinkle salt on them. Squeeze
on some lemon, if you like. |
Broccoli,
Tomato and Orange Garlic-Flavored Salad
<Ingredients>
・1/4 a head of broccoli, boiled
・4-5 bite-sized pieces of tomato
・1/2 orange, cut into bite-sized pieces
・1 clove of garlic, sliced
・1 tablespoon olive oil
・1 tablespoon apple vinegar
・1/4 teaspoon salt
<Instructions>
1) Saut?garlic with olive oil. Add vinegar and salt.
2) Mix the above dressing into the broccoli, tomato
and orange mixture.

Tofu
Salad with Spinach and Chestnuts
<Ingredients>
・1/2 bunch of spinach, boiled lightly
・1/2 package of tofu
・5-6 pieces of roasted chestnuts, diced
・3 tablespoons mayonnaise
・Soy sauce
・Salt
<Instructions>
1) Cut spinach into bite-sized pieces, add soy sauce
and drain well.
2) Pat tofu dry with paper towels and mix it with chestnuts,
mayonnaise and salt.
3) Mix “instructions 1 and 2” before serving.

Green
Tea Flavor Soy Milk Jelly with Sugared Berries
<Ingredients>
・5 oz strawberries, raspberries and blueberries
・1 tablespoon sugar
・5 fl oz soy milk
・1 teaspoon (2.5g) gelatin
・1 tablespoon water
・2 tablespoons sweetened green tea powder
*If you have unsweetened green tea powder, add as much
sugar as you want.
<Instructions>
1) Sprinkle sugar onto berries and let sit a few hours.
2) Add cold water to the gelatin. Add 3 fl oz. soy milk
and microwave until the gelatin dissolves.
3) Mix green tea powder with the remaining soy milk,
add “instruction 2”, and cool.
4) Garnish with the sugared berries.
